Lazy Animator

About this script

Lazy Animator puts nine everyday shortcuts in one dockable panel. For keyframes, Easy Ease eases the selected keyframes in and out like F9, Reverse Keyframes flips their values end to end while they stay where they are in time, and loopOut makes the selected properties' keyframes repeat. For rigging, Controller Parent adds a C_ null for each selected layer and parents the layer to it, World Parent makes a Position stick to another layer's anchor point, and Puppet Pin Renamer renames the selected pins Name_1, Name_2 and so on. For layers, Centered Null adds a null in the middle of the comp, Mask Crop swaps a masked solid for one cropped to its mask, and Sequence Layers trims the selected layers to play one after another from the playhead, a set number of frames each. Hover over a tool to see what to select, and take any of them back with one undo.

What it does

• Easy Ease: speed 0 and 33% influence, the same as F9
• Reverse Keyframes: the values flip end to end, the keyframes stay in time
• loopOut: adds loopOut() to the selected properties
• Controller Parent: a C_ null for each layer, with the layer parented to it
• World Parent: a Position that sticks to another layer's anchor point
• Puppet Pin Renamer: Name_1, Name_2 and so on
• Centered Null: a null in the middle of the comp
• Mask Crop: a masked solid becomes a solid cropped to its mask
• Sequence Layers: one after another from the playhead, a set number of frames each
• Each tool is one undo, and its tip says what to select
