GlyphKit

About this script

Select text layers and press Apply: GlyphKit swaps characters for random glyphs from 19 sets (symbols, binary, hex, blocks, box drawing, arrows, math, Greek, Cyrillic, katakana and more) or your own, colors the text from a random palette, and glitches it in short bursts, when slices of the text jump sideways and split into two colors. Every setting is a control on the layer, so you can keyframe it: take Affected % from 100 to 0 for a decode reveal. The layer's own text is never changed, layers that share a seed glitch at the same moments while each scrambles its own way, and Remove takes off everything GlyphKit added.

What it does

• 19 glyph sets, or type your own
• Glyph Count, Affected % and Speed: how many glyphs, how much text and how fast
• Shuffle the glyphs around the text, or keep them in place for a decode reveal
• Random colors from a palette of 1 to 16, on every letter or on the glyphs only
• Glitch bursts: slices jump sideways and split into red and blue, yellow and cyan, or green and magenta
• Glitch sizes follow the font size
• Every setting is a control on the layer, ready to keyframe
• Layers with the same seed glitch together, each scrambling its own way
• Changes go straight to the selected layers, one undo step each
• The text itself is never changed: Remove takes it all off
